Now The Window Is Shut, Where Will Boro Finish

10th

We’ll only manage 3 away wins, but Matthew Floppy will set an under 21s goals record, which is what really matters.

Top 2 and auto promotion. I’m sticking with it.
I think we’ll be around top 6 before the World Cup break. Muniz will be our top scorer followed by crooks. We will spank somebody 6-0.

12th and Wilder gone before season is out. Think a better opportunity will present itself and this season will be very sour after much optimism.

Quite possible as Norwich away is the only game until the break that we may struggle to get anything from if our luck turns and we avoid too many injuries.Still loads of games left and as has been said often Forest,Sheff Utd and Huddersfield all made the play offs after difficult starts last season.

Not going to make any predictions until October, dozen or so games played.

League starts to take shape and you get an idea what is going to pan out over the season. As it stands, based on current performances we could be 20th, 10th or 5th.

Let's see.

It's too early to say. I do feel less confident than I was at the beginning of the season that we would be up there challenging at the top end of the table. That's down to looking a bit light in midfield now the window is shut and the results we have had so far in particular the poor defending for some of the goals conceded.

A lot is going to depend on how the new players do. Giles is very good in an attacking sense and Muniz looks promising. Forss and Hoppe are unknown quantities though the former has enough Championship experience behind him. If they all click then we could have a very good team but it's a big ask for them all to be successful quickly which is what we need.

I think it's going to take someone to step up and emerge a la Jones last season. I am looking at Boyd-Munce to perhaps be that one as midfield is where we are most short. He is 22 going on 23 and just a little younger than Tav. He is not some young 18 year old. If he is going to amount to anything it's time he was making his mark. He may have to 'learn on the job' but then don't most of us?

I'm still hopeful of a good run at Promotion but am a little worried that we could be well off the pace come January if things don't gel quickly.

I'm leaning more towards relegation dog fight than automatic promotion. The truth will certainly be somewhere inbetween. A non eventful mid table finish.

The transfer window is not shut until Wilder speaks... his reaction will set the dynamic for the season. The result against Sunderland too. We have to blow them off the park to het my confidence back!

Lower end of top half for me. I think we'll see Howson, Crooks and McNair pulling out of challenges as we can;t afford to get yellow cards. Have a sneaking suspision that's why McNair didn't stop the first against Watford.
If we had an engine room I'd be pretty hopeful of an interesting campaign. Looks like a season that's more to do with the laughs at the game than any excitement in the league.
