Norwich form is not so good atm

As a team they are all over, but Sara is bang in form a and a real danger, Sargent was playing well too but I think he's injured. They're both too good for this level. The rest of their team is, workmanlike but lacking in class.

They looked good on the highlights v Leeds, well they did for the for the first few minutes. Hernandez looked tricky as we know he is.
Looking back through the results, they score frequently. Only once since the beginning of last month they haven't scored.

It’ll be a tough game for us as Leeds’ Somerviille scored two class goals against them. But you also get the feeling that Wagner is on his last legs there. Six losses in their last eight doesn’t make good reading.

They have injuries as well, Sargent and Barnes are both out. 2-0 up and lost on Saturday. Good time to play them in theory.

Of course we will lose again this season but I am so impressed with the control we have over games that I go into each game expecting us to win.

There is only probably Leicester and Ipswich away at the moment where I would expect us to maybe lose.

Yea doesn’t matter what their results are recently, if they get their tails up they have good players and can beat anyone in this league. If we can get a their back 4 we can hurt them. I’d take a draw right now, but I think we’ve got enough to beat them and I’m sure their fans could turn quite quickly if things don’t go well for them

Gunn is defo out tomorrow:

  • Angus Gunn set for scan on his injured left leg later on Monday afternoon. Definitely ruled out of Boro visit. Departed in the first half of the 3-2 weekend defeat to Leeds with what Wagner labelled immediately after the game a 'muscular' leg problem.
  • No plans to recall young keeper Jon McCracken from emergency loan at Accrington at this stage of the week.
  • Wagner reported no fresh fitness issues from those on duty at the weekend.
  • Marcelino Nunez fit and available. Missed out at the weekend after returning from international duty towards the end of last week. Nunez has not featured for his club since before the September international break due to an ankle injury playing for Chile
  • Grant Hanley (Achilles) and Jacob Sorensen (pelvis) are both back in team training. Hanley could be in line for a development run out at Stoke next week
  • Ashley Barnes (knee) has an outside chance of returning before the November international break
  • Josh Sargent (ankle) underwent surgery on Sept 4. Christmas, early Jan timescale

Tbh norwich have only been beaten twice at home (Leeds and Leicester) despite their poor form. Will be happy to keep the unbeaten run going

1 win in 6 - their confidence won't be high so I am going for a 2-1 away victory to Boro.
Usually a good time to be facing the boro… and a post like this would be a kiss of death for our chances…

But, I’m feeling this might be another instance where we can shake those old traits off and forge ahead with our improving form….

A point would be good from a trip like this but I’m hoping for much more…

Come on Boro, that’s why we sing this song, we’re the Boro red army…

You could argue that Leeds were caught asleep at Norwich by conceding the two goals. However a quick reshuffle and Leeds dominated the game after second goal went in and Norwich were really on the back foot for most of the game. I’d expect Boro to play it patiently and see if attrition catches up with a team who have a lot of injuries as well as a confidence problem at home.
