I could solve the energy crisis overnight. I'd just need a bit of kindling and a match to start the bonfire. No shortage of fuel to keep it burning
I was thinking more along the lines of what we called Yakubu, when he came back to the Riverside with Everton. You’re right, I didn’t include the energy cost of cooking / refrigerating / washing everything in the above workings. Maybe another £2?
As for double brekkie I start work quite early, exercise quite a lot and am generally bit of a greedy *******
According to the Tory councillor he was invited by the people who run the food bank and it was an extension or re-location rather than a new food bank. So that's alright then.
Its a good analogy. One of the VIPs is having a good laugh - reminds me of the scene out of Oliver Twist when the inmates of the workhouse are eating gruel and the Work house Guardians and Overseer are having a feast in a side room with money from the Workhouse budget. People said they wee the bad old days - well they are back.
It's actually worse than that. He said 30p a day, not 30p a meal.30 p for a meal. I look forward to Andersen demonstrating how to do that. Let's see him go for a month on a daily food and beverage budget of 90 pence a day.
Absolute pr*ck
