Nfl tonight

I believe it's a doubleheader in the UK for tonight's games.
Any predictions- personally I think the chiefs will have too much for buffalo, who played quite poorly last week.

Both teams coming off the back of a loss last week. Bills at home. Tough one to call, but I think the Chiefs may just edge it. Could do with a good game after the Packers woeful performance last night. I‘m still pished about that.

Evening all,
just started watching the NFL last season and this, and I was wondering how the live experience differs.

While I've found TV coverage useful in showing me that it's more than blokes running in to each other, I now get the impression that I see maybe only 40% of what is actually going on (I get the same feeling watching football on television). I can't see what is happening off the ball, the runs being made etc.

So how does the live experience differ? Are you aware of much more going on when watching live than on TV? I'm thinking it's something I'd like to see one day.

I've seen about 10. Live games.i think like all sports there's stuff that you don't see that benefits from been there. Equally, it's one of those sports that, imv, lends itself to TV as there's a lot of down time , which can make it a little dull live. Plus the replays can really highlight the skill of some of these players ( well all of them).
The pre game tail-gate parties can be amazing.
Definitely worth trying to watch a game. If you can though. Try to get to a team with a decent tail-gate vibe if possible.

I’ve not seen one live and was gutted this year as I was going to treat myself for my 50th to a trip to one of the London games. As a novice with the game, though I have been into it for 30 years, it’s only the last 3-4 that I’ve really got in to it, I do find I’ve learnt a hell of a lot just from listening to the commentary and analysis. Much better imho that premier league. So I think I’d lose a bit on a live one.

Hopefully they'll come back .. I've heard the spurs ground is amazing, so would be great to see one there

This is a deliberate ploy by the NFL.

They have "all 22" views which shows all the players on the field, so you can see plays develop & understand why the QB is throwing or not, the teams use it for analysis and views are made available occasionally in live games & on NFL.com etc for replays but aren't available as a view on ordinary tv.

You used to be able to buy a game pass on NFL & then you could watch a game via "all 22" but I think it was available to watch the following week, it wasn't live on a Sunday.

I don't know why they don't let tv broadcast the "all 22" (I guess it could allow teams to gain an advantage by analysing the tv in real time?).

You could watch all 22? Was that confusing?

The no crowd effect is perhaps more impacting in the NFL — I suspect things will level out later in the season when the weather becomes more of an issue.

There was a tv game a few seasons ago & the TV sideline cameras failed & they had to use the NFL 'all 22' cameras. It was great.
Made me realise the TV view is like going to an IMAX and looking through a letterbox.
