Nfl tonight

There was a tv game a few seasons ago & the TV sideline cameras failed & they had to use the NFL 'all 22' cameras. It was great.
Made me realise the TV view is like going to an IMAX and looking through a letterbox.
Good excuse to buy an mega screen TV!

The no crowd effect is perhaps more impacting in the NFL — I suspect things will level out later in the season when the weather becomes more of an issue.
Never thought about it, why do you think that? For the calls on that plays or the fact it's an impact sport and players maybe need to be more hyped up?

Evening all,
just started watching the NFL last season and this, and I was wondering how the live experience differs.

While I've found TV coverage useful in showing me that it's more than blokes running in to each other, I now get the impression that I see maybe only 40% of what is actually going on (I get the same feeling watching football on television). I can't see what is happening off the ball, the runs being made etc.

So how does the live experience differ? Are you aware of much more going on when watching live than on TV? I'm thinking it's something I'd like to see one day.

I find watching a game live totally different to a TV game. The first game I ever saw was Miami at Baltimore and I was in row two right behind the posts at one end zone. Great seat and amazing atmosphere but so hard to figure out what the hell was happening. Several times I found myself looking left and watching players block each other while the ball was actually on the right!

Sitting higher up makes for a less confusing watch, but you lose something in the atmosphere (although to be fair the atmosphere at both Kansas and Baltimore is excellent throughout the stadium).

I echo the earlier comments about tailgating, don't miss out. I travelled to and tailgated at Arrowhead in a converted prison bus with a stripper pole, a bar and disco balls.

Just a pole? Maybe you shouldn't answer that....
