Next England Manager

It'll be Lee Carsley. Similar route to Southgate and had success with the U21.

Most club managers are divisive and the good ones don't want to be International managers.

Southgate wasn't supposed to be manager though, he only got the job because.the shambles with Fat Sam left England in the absolute lurch. I don't think in living memory there's ever been an U21 manager who was promoted to the senior team permanently apart from Southgate.
I don't think there's any evidence that's what the FA will plan to do, as they've never planned to do it before.

But Southgate has been successful so they might have changed what their plan is based on that new information. It makes a bit of sense to have a manager that knows all the players that will be breaking into the squad and their previous plans of going for established names wasn't exactly successful.

Fair point. Carsley has done very well I suppose.
