Next Derby owners face extra £1m legal bill as Middlesbrough and Wycombe compensation claims head for ugly court battle

I STILL think we should offer Derby County an early settlement:

LW Louie Sibley for Toyosi Olusanya
MF Max Bird for Lewis Wing
LB Lee Buchanan for Hayden Coulson

all under 21 which frees up another spot in our squad for an over age loan to come in. no transfer fees necessary and although not the £46m that we were looking for we would have three players that could potentially be worth £15m in the future.

Derby County would snap our hands off for £46m for those three players (one of which is out of contract in the summer)

Toyosi Olusanya, Lewis Wing & Hayden Coulson all fit for purpose in the championship and with potential to grow themselves. Covers a lot of bases, stabilise the club, attempt championship survival, prepare for league one promotion

I trust Gibson will know where to stop. He's a better business man than most in the game. Imagine having a Mel Morris in charge of you club.

Worth noting ……

West Ham won the 2nd World War and the 66 World Cup, remember.

They are exempt by royal charter from having points deductions, cos its the Queen Mum's team (God bless her).

West Ham and Harry Redknapp would have been relegated, if we hadn't been docked points, I believe. Hence Redknapp sticking his twitchy beak in.

I'm very much in the camp of we didn't make the playoffs due to 6 defeats on the bounce. We blew it.

I'd be suing Britt / Rudy / Hugill and Fletcher. I seem to recall them missing a shed load of chances in that period 😂

The first defeat in that run was only because of a shambolic red card that was immediately overturned on appeal, so that's back in the EFL's court even if you ignore Derby's cheating.

surely it was Derby's lies and corruption that led to this, the EFL were lied to, you can't blame them for being lied to
I don't think it would be that easy to hoodwink someone with Parry's business background. We all knew there was something wrong, the EFL certainly must have.

I am sure we sold Gibson and Adama (prob had no choice due to contract) in order to keep within the rules, at the same time Derby had out bid us for a player if I remember correctly.

We did finish poorly but if we had the above two players then who knows where we would have been…

All guess work i know

If you read the DCFC forum, they are apparently thinking about hiring a plane with a banner against Gibbo when they play at the Riverside

Plus 90 minutes of full-on anti-Gibbo songs

They're welcome to do it.

It likely won't be on Sky and their club is in the wrong regardless of what they chant.

That ok I can finally see us spend 90 minutes watching their defence getting pummelled by us . If their too dumb to accept their owner cheated all the clubs in the league their deserve what comes their way .

Mel Morris has just walked away and left football to clean up the mess he made.
How right Bill Shankly was when he said
"Football is a simple game made complicated by people who should know better"

that ignores the fact that the bar was set based on a side cheating (Derby), regardless those 6 defeats would still probably have seen us in play offs if Derby hadn't amassed points by cheating the system.

I'm pretty sure it was Coventry that would have gone down instead if us.
Although West Ham were in definite danger when the decision was being made. Fuckface Redknapp was sh1tting himself and had plenty to say - and was given plenty of airtime on Sky to say it.

Its a bad situation but Gibson took the bitter pill and did what had to be done for FFP and had Pulis strip the squad down. The same squad competed by the rules but was denied a play off spot by a team proven to have broken the same rules.
The EFL are a shambles and its thanks to Gibbo that these idiots have been held accountable. There's a good chance that this will be a worry for the jawdees if/when they go down.
