Next Derby owners face extra £1m legal bill as Middlesbrough and Wycombe compensation claims head for ugly court battle

Did their deduction put points back on the table for us or put us back in the playoffs?
That argument doesn't cut it for me and feel it should be the EFL we are going after and not Derby. Derby cheated and have now been handed their punishment. Too late to save Wycombe or put us in a playoff spot, the EFL knew about it and should have acted sooner.

Edit: The EFL have let us all down.

£45m would do the trick. It wasn’t the EFL that cheated. What would we be going after them for exactly?

Brilliant. Keep Derby struggling to find an owner by having this hanging over them. 100% behind this.

Derby also cheated by calling off a game V Cardiff for snow, snow that didn’t exist at the ground.

I'm in favour of Gibbo's attitude. Clubs, and the EFL, should face the consequences of their actions. I can't prove it, but I suspect Gibbo's willingness to seek legal redress is the reason we eventually had the game called off yesterday. The EFL have no interest in doing the right thing but were more scared of Gibbo than Sky.

That will get the rams fans frothing at the mouth again. They are already planning a load of dodgy banners about Gibbo when they come up here.

I'm sure that the inventive banner makers of our South Stand will be up for one or more banners themselves - possibly including the word 'Cheats' in some form!

I'm not sure it 'sits right' with me. I don't think it's a good look with the rest of the footballing comunity.

I think I'm right in saying that Boro occupied the top 6 for the majority of the season? We fell away when we failed to win 6-7 games on the bounce (or did we lose them all?). I also remember a spell where the forwards couldn't hit a barn door. The sheer amount of chances missed. The real hight of of the Fletcher / Britt / Rudy and Hugill spell😕

The point being is one more win would have got us into the playoffs and all this would have been irrelevant.

Also you'd think we would be 'grateful' they beat us to the signature of Waghorn. He cost 6mil and left for nothing (standard at Boro).

Cracking idea

For the nothing It’s worth my personal suggestion would be caricatures of Gibson as judge jury and executioner with Mel in the dock wearing a mr Derby county suit and the EFL cowering in the corner 👍
