I hate to say this but I can see the toon doing very well, They have a very good defense, midfield is looking strong especially now that Paqueta has handed a transfer request in.
I can see Newcastle signing him.
They have a good forward with Wilson if he can stay fit, maybe need another forward on loan.

I can see them finishing in the top 6

think they will do well aswell, not sure about top 6 mins but they have every chance of top 10. The main thing for them should be to have a real go at a cup competition for once.

Yeah true, im just looking at the other teams who will be there
Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham I think are guaranteed top 5 (which ever order)
Then maybe West Ham
I cant see anyone else whos got a squad capable. Villa are getting some good players, but I still think Newcastle are better than those 2 now with what they have.

I don't even consider Man Utd anymore

I could see it being good for Boro if they did win it eventually.
Players who dont know much about or where Middlesbrough is... like this Henry fella, would see its close to Newcastle and would be more tempted with the North East if the Champions are just up the road. If its good enough for X player then it cant be that bad, kind of thing,
Im also getting bored of Man City winning it all now, like the days when it was all Man Utd, then Arsenal had a long spell, and also Chelsea.

Good to mix it up evet now and then

Similar to the time when Juninho first arrived when they were pushing Man Utd for the title and in the Champions League most years it cannot only be good for the North East but football in general.

Another shady ownership pumping obscene amounts of money in while everyone turns a blind eye to human rights. Brilliant for football? It makes no difference that they're a different club competing, after a while it'll just be the norm and benefits football in no way whatsoever

I know but it just throws another team in the mix. I agree with the human rights thing but what can we do about it, the only thing really would be to boycot their games but that would just bite the nose off your team as theyd loose out on ticket sales

Newcastle won’t finish higher than Man United or West Ham

I think they'll do well, but I think top 6 is really pushing it.

I can't see them outranking City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Man Utd.
West Ham and Newcastle will be 7th-8th in my opinion.

Several teams have gone up and had a good first season in the prem, so no reason why they cant have a strong finish with the squad they're assembling and the buzz around them.

It's crap the human rights stuff but outside of fans control really.

That or Eddie Howe sacked by Xmas.

I'd still say he's a decent shout for one of the first managerial casualties. Those loons won't take long to turn if things don't go well.

He's also still not the 'name' the owners will want longterm.
