Newcastle's 2 games in hand are WHU (away) and Brighton (home). Don't think they take 6 points there.

Plus I wouldn't be surprised to see Liverpool jump them in the table.

Whatever happens, Newcastle will have had a good season - but it probably won't look like that as they'll likely finish 5th/6th after being in the top 4 (top 3 for large parts too) for the majority of the season.

Their form has been poor for some time, draw after draw after draw. They suddenly look toothless, I suspect that they have been "worked out"? Watching them they are trying to play on the counter and the outlet is nearly always Trippier and Almeiron down the right. A bit of a one trick pony perhaps?

Looking at their form (1 win, 3 draws in 5) and those around them, I don't think they will overtake Spurs (4 wins in 5) and I suspect that both Liverpool and Fulham may well overhaul them (2 wins 2 draws in 5).

If this miss out on European football altogether Howe is toast.

I work near King's Cross Station, so had a little walk through the main concourse on my way to the office. So many Geordies looking hungover and fed up waiting for their train north.

The Saudi's won't lose patience. They bought that club for political and PR reasons, not so much for sporting glory imo. If they win anything I think that will be a bonus for them But as long as the sportswashed Geordie nation continue to defend them and their regime on social media, and as long as the UK media don't turn on them, the Saudi's will see it as a job continuing to be well done.

Can anyone imagine the Saudi's wanting to own a club that becomes as despised as Man Utd and Man City are if the the skunks go on to dominate the English game. That could end up being a PR own goal.
