New England kit

Literally could not care less what colour the flag is. Jesus wept, if that's all folk have to worry about their lives must be going pretty well.

Surely the bigger issue is the fact they wouldn't have dared issue the shirt with the George cross in those colours for use in the Qatar world cup?

The FA can **** right off if they think they have any credibility taking some sort of stance on it now.

Simon Clarke has jumped in on it now on his Facebook page, trying to stir up all his knuckle dragging followers.. anyway here’s my reply to it..

‘I’m a bit confused about this .. the 2011/12 England shirt had lots of multi coloured George Crosses all over the shoulder panels to celebrate cultural diversity.. (feel free to Google it) yet I don’t remember lots of people getting all foamed at the mouth over it. Weird that.

Still it’s better than talking about trivial stuff such as the fastest rise in UK child poverty in 30 years.’

I’m not expecting a sensible conversation with his followers

I really like both kits, and don't give a single sh*t about them having the flag in different colours. Lot of people outing themselves for what they're really annoyed about considering the total lack of care for the flag being in different colours in the past, as highlighted previously in the thread. The moment they see colours that they think are related to any kind of "woke" cause the frothing at the mouth ensues.

Funny seeing people like Joey Barton just fully committing to the grift slagging off anything "rainbow" as virtue signalling basically outing himself as either performative in the past, or performative now when stuff like him endorsing and supporting rainbow laces in opposition to homophobia and now he just uses as "rainbow" as some generic "woke" slur.

Re the George Cross colour changes - whilst I’ve raised an eye brow and moved on, I do think they should not have messed about with the nations flag. I can’t imagine any other nation reworking the colours on their national flag. I’m not going to froth at the mouth over it though.
Brazil did it

As a football shirt enthusiast it really doesn’t bother me.
I like the quirk of the different colour.

The cross colour has been changed before.
I don’t get the uproar from this, it’s like any excuse to show patriotism. Hilarious seeing the social media meltdown
Or virtue signalling by another name

Maybe so but Nike are not doing that in the us strip

I’m not a fan of their shirts esp the away ones all this blue purple guff

Eng has an away colour it’s red

Btw I haven’t bought an shirt since Umbro
Theyve certainly absolutely mullered the us flag on a strip before 1711128233742.jpeg

It’s nothing to do with that you can’t change the colours of the nations flag you just can’t

As I said slot of service people have died for that flag as I said they defeated the other one you posted.

The fact is Nike would not do it in the us so why do it here
Do people die for a piece of cloth or for the people and ethics and freedoms of the people?

I think the Boro home kit should be pink with a lemon band and puce piping. After all its just a shirt and the Red and White colours are synonomous with nothing and mean nothing to the area of Teesside. 148 years is way too long without a change . Theres about 90% of posters on here who should think thats a wonderful idea because after all its just a shirt.

I like it, it sounds fresh & we could try & get Barbie as main shirt sponsor.

125 years.
Took 20 odd years before we settled on red shirts.

Doesn't really work, but good effort.

They've not changed the shirt, they've added a little symbol on the back of it, that a bunch of daft people have been whipped up in to a frenzy over by outright bigots.

I'd have no problem with a Boro kit having a little symbol on the back of the collar.

If they'd changed the entire England top in to a daft colour, I'd understand people kicking off.
Instead they've released one of the best tops in years, that's now been hijacked by a bunch of a whoppers trying to get a culture war started.
