Been fantastic for us and I’m glad he’s ours. Hope he’s here next season and even the season after if he still has the hunger.

However, he isn’t immune from criticism and I think his use of subs at times this season has been atrocious. In no way at all should Akpom and Spence be getting on that football pitch before the likes of Watmore and even Johnson in my opinion. I don’t know what he sees in them 2 lads at all for me Akpom isn’t championship standard and Spence simply doesn’t look arsed enough to care about the result. Aslong as he gets a fancy flick in he looks happy enough with his performance. Clueless footballer.

Anyway back to the point, Warnock needs to get a grip of some of his decision making during games as most of the time I’m happy with his original starting line up. It also wouldn’t hurt to change shape now and again during games and with draw a midfielder

I felt the same earlier in the season when Wing would come on ahead of Roberts.
 
to be fair until now he hasn’t exactly had the players to be able to change things properly, switching strikers for some freshness and Spence for a bit of pace has been the only option he’s really had so far. Fully expect when these new players are up to speed then things will change
 
We need Britt,spence,Betty,saville removed and never selected again ...just as a start.
and saville should not get paid for his contribution today
 
I don't think Warnock could do much about the way things panned out today. If Saville and Assombalonga put their chances away then it's a different game.

I would have liked to have seen Watmore out wide and Kebano behind Britt at kick off with Sav dropped. I agree re Spence and Akpomb subs. He did not try to change the formation or pattern of play today with his subs. He needs to play Morsy and Howson as a central 2 for me. When Tavs back use him in a 3 if he wants a 3 but a 2 should do with the width we now have. Fletch will start, not Britt, when fit, I’d guess. Akpomb is just terrible for me, and a waste of £2.8M
 
Of course nobody is immune from criticism, especially in such an emotional game as football.

I can't think of a manager I would rather have given our current circumstances.

We would have been relegated last season without him coming in and saving us. I think most of us said if we flirt with the playoffs this season then that's a great effort.

I didn't agree with the subs today but the most unacceptable thing was definitely our finishing.
 
Early in the season when Akpom played his first game I made a prediction he wouldn't start more than 10 games this season. Even though his main competition for a place is BA.
Don't think Im going be far wrong. Sometimes fans see things the pros don't see and vice versa of course.
Biggest disappointment of the window was not bringing in someone that could confine those two to the bench.
 
We don't have a centre forward who can hold the ball up properly.
Until we get one, I wouldn't try and pretend we do. Assombolonga, Akpom and Fletcher are no good.

I'd like to see Watmore given a burst of games up front.
Mendez Laing and Bolasie playing wide and Kebano/Tavernier (when fit) in Number 10 role.

Watmore is not big and not exactly powerful, but he is very quick thinking and moving and has good technique and can finish.
We are not nearly as good as Leicester and Watmore is not nearly as good as Jamie Vardie, but he's only an inch shorter and shares some of his qualities which we simply shouldn't be wasting just now.
 
Duncan Watmore is the only natural finisher in the squad. He's quick, can beat a man and control a football. Attributes that continue to elude some of today's starters. Presented with Saville's chances he could/would have changed the game. Fry was a big miss and exposed Paddy Mc as a midfielder pressed into playing as a centre back. Not exactly a vote of confidence in Hall if he can't make the team. I was surprised that NW didn't bring in a centre back and give himself the option of using PMc in midfield. His preferred and best position in my opinion.

Spot on. The midfield is a bit of a joke to be honest
