Yep, I thought they were quite unfortunate against Italy, especially in the second half and extra time. That said, they don't have Pedri, who was their best player at the Euros. No Morata, or Alba either.

I wasn't actually that impressed with them in the Euro's but they found a way to beat England after a very dodgy first 30 or so minutes when we should have been out of sight.

They've drawn with Ukraine and Bosnia since the Euros, both were WC qualifiers as well. Southgate would be getting lynched if that were England.

Spain really should have beaten Italy in the EURO's so will be up for it. However, the Italians are really in the groove now and will be aiming for the World Cup next year too. Mancini has galvanised them as a group of players and coaches.

The French still have the best players but they don't always make the best team and I think Belgium are close to sliding given the age of some of their players.

The issue with France they tend to go from the sublime to the ridiculous and the manager is frequently tackling issues with egos clashing in the changing room, which disrupts the harmony and spirit of the squad. Most recently it was Mbappe and Giroud who were supposedly at each other's throats and derailed their Euro 2020 campaign.
