One we let go too soon but I guess he wouldn't have played much at centre half with Fry and Lenihan ahead of him so it was good move for him.....

Don't get your point, he has also performed nowhere near the levels that Chuba did last season.

you would of thought Chuba would of been worth a lot more top scorer , EFL player of the season etc, Wood not deemed good enough for the Boro could not get a game at Hibs also assuming we did not get a huge amount for him no one seemed too bothered at the time just surprised he has gone for so much, guess he was totally underestimated by the club and fans

We didn't have much choice but to sell. He wanted first team football, had 1 year left and refused to sign a new deal.
There's definitely an argument he was mismanaged (including his contract) but I don't think we really wanted to sell. We'd just ourselves into a position where we didn't have much choice.

I've just watched a montage of his best moments for Swansea and can confirm he is mint and we should have kept him.

Wood was 1 year into a 4 year contract, Chuba had one year left.

Bizarre decision, and many could see it at the time. Two contrasting reports of contract length above, I don't know which is right. But doesn't look good either way.

Of course the other problem was the manager at the time was Chris "none of the youth players are good enough" Wilder so our chances of convincing him to extend were probably very slim. If Carrick was in charge I suspect he'd be still be here.
