Agree that Woodgate was better than Pallister at his prime. At his best, Woodgate was the best I've seen here, apart from Maddren.
If only his managerial credentials matched his playing talent!

Woody had one amazing season here. The rest of his career he was a very good player but so was Pally. I think what tips it for people is that Woody played for Real Madrid 13 times, but look at what Pally won in comparison, both trophies and caps. I think had Woody not had that very short-lived/unsuccessful spell at Madrid, people would say Pally wins this hands down career wise.Agree that Woodgate was better than Pallister at his prime. But Boateng was like Mustoe and Ince combined.Yeah I love George, but fair to say Ince, Robson and probably even Parlour were better in their pomps.
Class was George, but in his prime Ince was one of the top holding midfielders in the world. But Boateng was like Mustoe and Ince combined.
My 1-11 with Covid permitted 9 on the bench.

Surprised nobody has selected Downing to bring a bit of balance to the team, him and Ziege would have been a great combination on the left attacking wise, not so sure defensively though.
Great ShoutNo Geremi either? again, tough opposition. We really have had some absolute belters during the earlier Riverside years
