Musk calls for Farage to be replaced

What is he failing at, in your opinion?
TBH - I don't follow reform and their policies but thanks for showing interest in my opinion. The reason why I don't think he would be successful as their leader is that he is tainted by his past - brexit, alliance to Robinson and language surrounding illegal immigration. Same as Liz Truss as a leader of the conservatives. She just simply wasnt leadership material

You've only answered the first part of the question.

When the German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, was asked in an interview about the barrage of insults being directed at him and other German leaders by Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, his reply was: “Don’t feed the troll.”

Speaking to the German weekly Stern, Scholz described the criticisms as nothing new. “You have to stay cool,” he said in the interview. “As Social Democrats, we have long been used to the fact that there are rich media entrepreneurs who do not appreciate social democratic politics – and do not hide their opinions.”

Genuine question: am I a bad person if my intrusive thoughts are telling me that I wouldn't mind it if Elon were to run into an unfortunate 'accident'?

I despise Farage but dislike the games Musk is playing even more
No you're not a bad person. The sentiment you require is summed up in the quote "I have never wished a man dead but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure"😉

No, I have a reoccurring.. thought.. of a sinkhole event in Florida.. that drains an entire swamp of rancid billionaires..

Without Farage Reform will go the same way as UKIP (complete irrelevance) - especially if they associated with TR/SYL - So Musk is completely wrong
I think a worryingly large number of people would support a Musk-funded, Robinson-led Reform Party, which is probably what Musk is plotting at the moment.

I’m not so sure. They will maybe get 3-10 MPs but I don’t think they would die. Tice was doing ok before Farage muscled his way in. It’s just a grift for Farage.

There appear to be a good number of Reform supporters who are disillusioned with Farage if social media is to be believed.

This is a bit like the Sunderland will fall like a stone discussions

Farage
* Got Brexit over the line against all the odds
* Has an ‘in’ to The White House
* Now an elected MP
* Got reform representation in the House of Commons
* More members than the Tory party
* Heavily funded without Musk (by a billionaire)
* Depending on what you read could be anything from 50 seats to 200 at the next election - from a standing start
* Shaping British politics with the Tories, Starmer et al focussing on immigration

Yet people continue to write him off

IMHO - that is part of the problem. He is a real danger
