got to be something in this. The lad moves halfway around the world, with promises of being a star but then gets given the role of splinter-collector.

I'm sure he'll be very frustrated, he's 22, he will want to play.

We've scouted him, been in touch with him for 2 years, will know his agent. I'm guessing we've kept in touch, and offered him a route out. Might not happen, but it sounds like interest is there from both sides
 
He liked a tweet posted by the Championship Twitter account about our away kit launch a few days ago. He might have just liked the shirt. Then the Twitter algorithm throws him other Boro tweets and he likes one. Doesn't mean there is an actual link.

He could be a decent signing. Always nice to have a Brazilian in the squad.

So... the new boro shirt drew him in and now he's a closet boro fan? I think it's more likely that we've been after him for two years and reignited our interest, we dragged our heels and he was swayed by Fulham wanting him first time. The move hasn't worked for him and I dare say we've come to an agreement with Fulham who have moved on to bigger targets.

Hope so.

I think social media interaction is a lot more telling than people realise look at payero that all came about from the same kind of thing.

They might, I follow loads of people I hate and loads of random crap if I have an interest in what's going at the time.

He might just be bored, liking all sorts of random stuff on Twitter, which most users do.

I hope there's more in it mind, if he's liked two boro related things in his last 10/20 "likes" over the passed few days.

He's liked 3 Boro things, everything else has been Fulham, his former club, Brazilian things or Ibrahimovic.

It's not a coincidence.

This is the boro though, our Samba Magic must be legendary back on the Brazilian mainland. He's probably got posters of the Alves unveiling.

On a related note, can anyone photoshop his face onto a 20ft x 30ft 'Brazilian Goal Machine' banner?
