Coburn is playing at his level ATM. Leave him to improve. Muniz should have been on today.Potentially in Jan we could send him back and save a net £15k/week in wages, by bringing Coburn back - that money could be used to bolster the midfield.
I tend to agree. They’re also a good way to have a longer look at players you might have a chance at bringing in on a permanent, like Bamford.Looked decent when he first came in but has been poor in recent weeks. His all round game isn't great but he has looked ok finishing. No point developing someone else's players though so get rid of all the loans and replace them with permanent signings.
Loans should only be used in an emergency or to "complete the jigsaw".
Absolutely. Muniz feels a bit like a panic loan after we missed a whole series of 'marquee' strikers. Looks like with Akpom playing a 9.5 role that he needs a speedy forward to play with rather than a target man. I suspect we'll see a lot more of Watmore and Forss in that role. I also believe that Hoppe might be better in Akpom's 9.5 role than playing with him. I don't think Coburn or Muniz will fit comfortably into this system.I tend to agree. They’re also a good way to have a longer look at players you might have a chance at bringing in on a permanent, like Bamford.
But if you’re not getting relegated and definitely not going to be in the mix for promotion, there’s absolutely no point in loan players. If we send Steffen back and finish 16th rather than 12th it makes no difference.
Develop your own players and save the money. I’d keep Giles like, because we don’t have a left sided player.
