Mowbray - You're a WEASEL

I definitely would.

It ruined the match for me, even when it was 0-0, and it was an appalling display of refereeing. Can't remember feeling so angry during a match for quite some time.

I have no doubt that Branthwaite didn't intend to injure Fry, but that's irrelevant.

What is relevant then? You think Mowbray should have crucified his own player?

The defence of Mowbray is absolutely pathetic quite frankly.

He doesn't have to throw his player under the bus to acknowledge what happened ESPECIALLY BECAUSE HES MEANT TO BE A BORO LEGEND. That happened to a Boro centre back, who's from Boro, who grew up supporting Boro and will know all about Tony Mowbray.

The people defending Mogga can feck right off. He's a sad vindictive pr*ck who's clearly got a chip on his shoulder due to the garbage he served up when managing here.

That was 1 centimetre away from being one of the worst injuries you will ever see on a football field. It wasn't clumsy, it doesn't happen every week check yourselves.

I don't think he should have lied and pretended he didn't see it, or used mealy mouthed words like "it's a mans game" and he was doing what he was told to do.

You can protect a player whilst also admitting he made a mistake and that Blackburn were lucky to avoid sanction.

How do you know he didn't see it?

Because he said he didn't see it, or are you calling Mowbray a liar?

Your defence of Mowbray is admirable. We all have a strong connection to him, or at least those of us who were around in 86, but his lack of humility yesterday shows he's now not quite the man we all thought he was.

I'm not blindly backing Mowbray, I'm just not acting like a hysterical 10 year old because we lost a game of football.

Like I said people are looking to get offended here.

Do you think Mowbray could get a clear view of the incident, 50-60 yards away and in real time?

If there was no replays and freeze frame shots no one would even be discussing it on here.

Most people don't actually care about the result now it's over and done with, it's the reckless foul that went unpunished, which the opposition completely ignored and some thought was funny. Would your opinion be different if Fry had lost his eye and his career was over?

If he'd lost his eye and his career was over then I expect that the reaction would have been different. Thats not really a revelation though is it?

Like.... if Fry had died from his injuries I don't think people would have been happy about it either.

Happens every week in football that... Mowbray couldn't see it because you know there's nothing to see, was just a little clumsy. 😂

Mowbray is, and will forever be, a Boro legend and his gamesmanship and psychology are what his current employer pays him for
The games over and we don't play them again, this isn't gamesmanship. Psychology? I expect him to offer some protection of his player, BUT, he has a responsibility to the sport and fellow professionals. He has had team mates careers ruined through injury so he knows the impact on peoples lives. Yes, he was a legendary player for us, yes he was a mediocre manager for us. So he should treat the Boro fan base with the respect they treat him.

Say it was an accident, but admit it was dangerous, should have been a red and he needs to learn quickly that you just can't challenge like that. Plenty of more successful managers than Mowbray have admitted their players deserved a red.

Defender gets a nasty cut on his face, shock horror! Maybe start a petition to get the ref sacked?
