Agree we play best when we dont have to breakdown a team, quick instinctive attacks wouldnt be a bad thing
Hopefully Roofie won't stoop to that!Hope no-one with an NFC enabled Nokia throws one at Carrick - it could kill him
Low level chuntering whenever we pass backwards, pantomime esque shrieks and gasps when we pass it about at the back.
Cries of GET IT FORWARD.
Booooos if we are not winning at half time.
I am dreading it to be honest, we need the first goal like almost never before. It's a real sliding doors game I think.
Can we move forward into a world of bright passing football or do we call for the next lumbering manager.
Could be claret all over the west stand.I wonder if we get a few clashes in the stands as tempers flare normally get a few disagreements in situations like this.
Just on booing. Yesterday Brighton played in the Uefa Cup for the first time against AEK Athens and their crowd booed at one point, some fans are never going to be happy, we'd snap their arm off to be in Brightons position.
I remember that, Potter gave the fans a bit of a telling off after the game as well I think?Brighton fans arent as great as the media love to portray them.
I remember them whinging and booing under Potter after a draw at home, which i thought was ridiculous
That’s rubbish I’m not secretly hoping for anything I’m just asking the question. When these threads pop up in times of strife, I always get the sense that some people secretly want there to be some drama in the stands. You see people saying ‘go a goal down and it could be toxic’ but I’ve been watching us for 32 years and it’s very, very rarely ever been what you would call ‘toxic’ IMO.
I remember a lot of people being very angry at a point in the 1993/94 season, with some trouble in the Holgate and some protests against the board. I remember some real anger - which turned to apathy - towards the end of Robbo’s reign just before Venables pitched up. There was anger in the Villa game under McClaren one year. I think there was anger when we went down under Southgate but because it was a sort of slow trudge towards relegation, we never really reached what you would call a ‘toxic atmosphere’. Mogga being abused at Barnsley was pretty disgusting.
Has there been much anger since then? Not really IMO. Some booing, some abuse. People just stop going don’t they? Rather than protesting in the stands.
If we do go a goal down tomorrow, there won’t be any real ‘toxicity’ IMO. People will moan, a few will boo, most will just drift off for an early pint and have a moan in the concourse.
There’s just a sense that a growing number of people have sort of given up on both Carrick and the team and would secretly quite like the drama of a sacking and a new manager coming in.
I think it's the whole stadium. I was in GRFZ for that game and they were chuntering and shouting abuse from that stand. Loads of the taking kids out 20 mins from the end. It's crazy. You must sit near me .... described the QPR game to a tee where I sit!
Well why not frame it the other way? ‘Can you imagine the sense of relief if we win,’ or ‘can you imagine the buzz if we get an early goal tomorrow’ instead? That’s rubbish I’m not secretly hoping for anything I’m just asking the question.
You missed out on the start of the 82/83 season then.I’ve been watching us for 32 years and it’s very, very rarely ever been what you would call ‘toxic’ IMO.
What ever you do don't take Anadintense

Oh yeah I just meant since I’ve been going, I was born in 1983 so wasn’t around for those dark times. You missed out on the start of the 82/83 season then.
Now that was toxic.
After relegation we had hoped to bounce straight back up, but started with 3 successive 4-1 home defeats.
Looking back, the abuse Bobby Murdoch got was shameful. Personal and nasty.
I remember that, Potter gave the fans a bit of a telling off after the game as well I think?
They will be back in champo or below within the next 10 years I think so they should be enjoying it now. Although I suppose their 'fans' will just go back to supporting city, Chelsea, whoever is good at the time.
The GRFZ is one of the worst places for it. I think it must be all the cocaine.I think it's the whole stadium. I was in GRFZ for that game and they were chuntering and shouting abuse from that stand. Loads of the taking kids out 20 mins from the end. It's crazy.
As negative as I can be on this board about our situation and as much as I can rant on about some of the players, I would never take that to the game with me. Get behind the team for the 90 mins they are on the pitch and always stay till the end
He might! I don't think he is a fan of the current ticketing systemHopefully Roofie won't stoop to that!
