Mobile Networks at the Riverside

Just wondering what network people use and get a signal at the Riverside on matchdays specifically the south stand.

I'm currently on O2 and my phone becomes pretty useless when at the match.

I know EE usually pretty good, any had any experience with Three or anyone other network?

Cheers!

I use EE on a 4G and its pretty poor. Relative uses a 5G phone via O2 a few seats away and signal is brilliant.

I have found that O2 are rubbish whenever there is a crowd of any size anywhere. I've switched away from them and won't go back. I was constantly in places where everyone else had decent signal and I and others on O2 couldn't get anything.

Same here.

I have iPhone 15 with 5G on O2 and the signal is non existent from the moment of entering Riverside (usually around 2:30pm), right until I get past Navi when walking back to the car around 5/5:15pm.

Same whenever I'm at a gig. Literally phone is useless.

I'm leaving them this month as my contract is up for renewal.

Not sure who to go with though between EE/Vodafone/Three.

There's others too - GiffGaff/ID/Sky....but don't really know anyone on these contracts.

EDIT -

Quick google and it appears:
GiffGaff/Tesco/Sky Mobile uses O2 signal - so no chance I'll be going with any of them.
ID uses Three signal.

Same here - I had to switch to 02 from EE because I couldn't get a phone signal any longer in my house with EE.
But in my years with EE I was able to post a photo on twitter and instagram before almost every away game with Boro. It was a bit of a tradition. I have only been able to do this at 2 away grounds since switching networks a couple of years ago to 02. And there is no service on the my 02 at the Riverside whereas I was able to use my phone to an extent with EE. I can now only text home and away.

Same for me with O2. My son sits next to me in the East and is with ID and has no problem with connectivity however last time I mentioned this on a similar thread there was a comment from someone with ID who did have issues.

I use ID mobile which uses the three network mine seems to work fine when I check the scores at half time

I was with 3three and never had any issues using my phone in the ground until I switched to 02 when I got the Virgin Volt deal. That was the biggest mistake I ever made.

EE I can get a signal in North Stand concourse(probably when they open the doors to let people smoke) and sometimes in the stand

That is exactly what I did. Thought it was a bargain...but as ever, it was too good to be true because the signal is a disgrace.

This this the exact situation i am in.

Some really good deals with Three and Lycamobile (uses EE network) at the minute.

I’m with three, and have been with smarty who I think use the three network. Largely fine in terms of reception. Same issue everyone will have on any network in that it will struggle for the first 5 minutes or so of half time when everyone goes on to check scores etc… but no complaints other than that.

At least it's not just me! Virgin media and then O2 hopeless/non existent for the internet inside the Riverside, phone calls texts OK though.
