After the game they will ask us to remain until the ground is cleared then the police (includes Cleveland police) will escort fans to different underground stations, on the Jubilee Line and provide escort through to main line terminus at Kings Cross. There is limited service from there onwards.
The decision to close South Bermondsey Station was only announced yesterday. The safety officer and police unsuccessfully appealed for it to be opened even for away fans only.
There followed the safety meeting for the game yesterday. So, things have moved rapidly on and plans have changed.
There will be lots of announcements to fans at the game.
I was asked for feedback and I reiterated that lots of fans come under their own steam and many from the London area. But nearly everyone exits normally on that train line towards London Bridge.
So there should be an escort to Bermondsey and also Canada Water, both on the Jubilee Line as well as New Cross I believe (further away from New Den).
