Yeah my partner is a nurse and was fuming. It's all part of the "we were all at it" defence I'm seeing the shills all use.

I worked a lot in our school over lockdown and never got an invite for drinks in the staffroom. In fact, all social areas were closed and we had to take our own tea, coffee and packed lunches in.

I did have a friend in my garden when things got first relaxed and ended up with a police drone flying over our property. Pretty scary at the time as we didn't know who was flying it and what for.
 
Posted this last night, I'm still absolutely furious about it- the fact that Johnson and his cronies have repeatedly broken the law is one thing but to smear NHS staff and Teaching staff, they should be utterly ashamed but they have no shame. How anyone can consider voting for this lot is absolutely astonishing; people with no moral compass whatsoever.
 
I did 12 years on the NHS Frontline, admittedly not during the lockdown period, and I've never known nurses or other staff to drink in the staff room.

I'd have expected disciplinary action from both the NHS and the professional regulator if I had.

I won't put words in the mouths of nurse I know, but in their position I'd be deeply insulted by this suggestion
 
How can anyone be taken seriously when they buy their hair off the shelf and when asked “ would sir like blonde, brown perhaps even the trendy grey” replies “ no I’ll have that one there, what colour is it again……….Watersport’s”!!
 
My wife is a head teacher, her best friend the head of a Covid ward, and without any shadow of a doubt these gatherings did not happen, it shows how low these despicable, awful, people will sink to defend the clown in charge, it is sickening.

Our NHS staff and teachers are among the very best of us, selfless and putting the needs of others before themselves for them to be slandered by an out of touch, tone deaf hypocrite like Fabricant just shows he has no morality, conscience and a very short memory.

Plus if these gatherings had taken place anyone taking part would have been dismissed from their job and criticised by people like Fabricant and Johnson for being selfish and not obeying the rules.

What a disgrace, imagine having him as your MP. Fortunately I live in a constituency with a safe Labour seat and a very decent MP.

A close friend is in a senior position at the school she teaches at. She is livid at the comments. Not for one minute did she consider having a drink at work. She was busy ensuring some pupils were getting fed during the holidays as she knew they would go without otherwise.

As I said above, social areas in schools were closed down during lockdown, in our school, staff had their packed lunches at screened tables whilst supervising students eating lunch and had to bring in tea/coffee in a flask.
