FMTTM Admin - At the next supporters forum, please could you bring up how poor our merchandising is!

We never have stock in of kit or only get limited stock of each size.

I went in and Christmas last year nothing was hardly available, kits or training sets etc really low stock, went in earlier this summer for the 3rd kit which we announced we where keeping, nothing available and now the new kit is available to pre oorder only the top though, its really poor IMO and it is worse that the only place you can buy Boro replica is from the club shop.

Very frustrating!

I think it got said before they only do small orders to avoid getting left with stock and having to do sales all the time
They don't need to do sales all the time. There are things they can do to keep the value up. Maybe even get a few signed by players at the end of the season. Just stick any left over in a cupboard for a few years and then sell them as retro kits. There's a real market for them these days.

Easier said than done. The value of storage space for a couple of years would probably outweigh any potential increase in value.

Problem is more what nano has said - overpriced but average quality.

Heaven forbid fans who might be struggling financially get a chance at buying a shirt on sale at the end of the season.

The mark up on them must be massive anyway. What do they cost to produce? A few quid?

They can surely sell them off at the end of the season for £25 without making a loss you'd think.

At times I think Gibson, or at least someone else high up in the club, looks down on a large part of our fan base.

Ah well I'm sure they'll be able to pick Man United shirts for a tenner from Mike Ashley's bargain jumble sale instead.

Coats for kids going back to school.. that's been a struggle for a LONG TIME

Under 18s buying replica kit with gambling sponsors is still a huge issue. Ages 11-17 are generally wearing adult sizes. Someone need to sort it out ASAP

I’m not talking about hiring out a warehouse for truck loads of unsold shirts. There’s plenty of space at the stadium for a few hundred from each season to be boxed up in a cupboard.

All I’m saying is that they should order enough to guarantee stock in the shop until the end of the season and then find ways to increase demand for what’s left. It may not increase profits significantly but it will mean more kids wearing Boro shirts and a happier customer base.

I don’t honestly remember the last time I bought anything from the club shop.

Never had anything in stock and eye watering prices linked to absolute tat is not a commercial plan to make money sustainably.

Amateur hour.

And all I am saying is it's been raised with the club before and that is the answer they gave as to why they order how they do.

Doubt there is that space because for each shirt, there are then sizes, and variants of each shirt. A few hundred shirts per season, in a few sizes, would take up substantial space and need stock checking to make sure people aren't helping themselves and make sure they're not getting damp or damaged by rodents etc. it's not going to make commercial sense when they can just get some manufactured if they want to do a retro run.

My biggest gripe is the ridiculous delivery costs.

It's cheaper for me to jump on the train to Middlesbrough and pick up the shirt myself than have it delivered to Redcar.

£6 delivery on a £52 shirt is completely daft, especially when it's a major business offering it.

Yepp!

Also why is delivery more over £10?

£10 and under £3 delivery
over £10, £6 delivery.

Appreciate if you spend over £10 you likely have more/bigger things being delivered, but don't most companies reward customers paying more with cheaper delivery?

If delivery was free (over £50 say) I might have ordered one, now I'll have to drive to the Riverside, decide the quality is poor in person and drive back.
