Metallica

Enjoyed that. There was a rumour she was going to do a full Metallica cover album, I presume that was wide if the mark and it’s an album of Metallica covers by VA
 
Excellent cover of an excellent song... loved Metallica up to and including the black album, after which they lost it a bit IMHO. Great live band though and was lucky enough to see them in Vienna in 2019!
 
I seem to recall she did it at Glastonbury a couple of years ago, or at least a part of it. I think she's great.
 
It is a fabulous album. Excellent vocals, great lead breaks, it just sounds right and great.
What do people think they're going to do to improve on it?
Leave the classics alone.

Agreed, It’s a superb album. This is more about the band letting other artists display their interpretations of the songs. Don’t think you can improve on the original, and no one is trying to.
Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightening much better albums, in my opinion. Death Magnetic a good album, but really everything they ever did (St Anger, not so sure) was awesome, and stands the test of time. Best and biggest live band the planet ever rocked to(IMHO)
 
Just rewatched this on my TV rather than my phone, unsurprisingly it’s better still.

The violin blew me away! I’m looking forward to seeing some more of the other recordings
