Meghan and Harry

I’m not really interested in this or any royal family story at all. It’s been dominating news today but I just don’t have a big interest.

The Missus has the interview on now and Meghan is obviously very media trained being an actress and the interview is very obviously set up so she knows what will be asked, it comes across acted, even if what she is saying is genuine.
 
Just wanted to put a post on about how it’s possible to ‘prove’ one person is telling the truth in a ‘word on word’ allegation by simply by speaking to people connected to both parties.

For example, Megan could have disclosed the incident to other people at the time.

Also the perpetrator could have disclosed the incident to other people.

People may have noticed Megan’s behaviour changed at the time I.e this could also be recorded I.e let’s say MM stated the incident occurred on whatever date. MM could have then went to see a therapist soon after or a doctor to get medication etc.

Its that method how cases are proven when people come forward to make allegations that incident has occurred sometimes decades before. I.e adults stating they were abused as a child etc.

The problem I have it with this is, it’s all obviously true, and they are getting their point across, but Meghan is an actress. So some of this has come across as staged.

Harry can do what he bloody likes in my book, after the way that bunch of freaks made him walk behind his mother’s coffin in full view of billions of people aged 12. That would **** anyone over for the rest of their life. Served his country and set up the invictus games.....
 
This is just how I imagine “The Real Housewives if Santa Barbara” must be.

VERY obviously a scripted “interview” carefully written by Haz and Meg, completely one sided with awkward questions about her relationships with her father, brother and sister strictly banned.

Starring a high maintenance drama queen who is using all her acting skills. I have no doubt gullible Americans will lap it up as the truth but that’s just how Americans are, after all they really do think The Crown is factual.

He is obviously completely taken in and controlled by her, in turn she has him wrapped around her little finger. He makes patronising remarks about his brother being trapped, for which I would imagine William would rip his head off if he could.

The best thing both sides can do now is divorce peaceably with a Harry giving up all his titles, all his Crown income and the Wales, Windsor and Mountbatten names so he can go and appear with Meg in the next season of “Hollywood Squares” or “Suits” or “Good Morning with Haz and Meg”, and the Queen, Chas and William can get in with their roles as heads if the country and the Commonwealth. The two families should agree never to meet or talk again and leave each other completely alone.
 
Think its just another one of those examples on the worrying amount of control the right wing media has on this country. People are genuinely furious at a woman they have never met basically because the daily mail told them to be. Same reason these people are also angry about immigration, brexit, the EU, benefit claimants or whichever other group the press decide to turn their attention to. Such a large proportion of the country are so easy to manipulate because they either don't have the intelligence or simply don't want to question what they are being told.
Feel like this country is moving towards a really dark place, real positive change on so many issues feels like its lifetimes away, really do feel we're moving backwards as a society.
 
It’s quite incredible how many of the people who were posting #BeKind all over their Facebook feed 12 months ago are now attacking a pregnant woman who’s had suicidal thoughts and being the victim of vile bullying by the UK media, just so they can protect a family they’ve never met.

A family who are currently shielding one of it’s members from a co-operating into an investigation into sex trafficking underage girls.

There’s some serious mental gymnastics going on with the usual flag waiving cap doffers.

Ha. I said exactly the same thing about 14 hours ago at post #45 of this thread. Didn’t think then it would reach 358 posts.
 
You know what this is all about. Meghan started to get too much attention early on, the firm, be it Kate, William or their advisors and teams within 'the firm' felt threatened by it. William, Charles and the advisors are only bothered about the succession, not the minor royals. So they kicked back by leaking negative stuff out to the press. They created pressure on her internally with the colour of the baby stuff, and that obviously would take attention away from Williams and Kate's own kids who they will deem more important as next in line.

At the end of the day, this all just highlights the duplicitousness, the cruelty, the ruthlessness of royalty. In one way they've got off lightly, I mean she would have been killed and Harry would have disappeared to the tower 400 years ago, that's what they do, the ruthlessness of cutting out their own brother/son in Harry and trying to wreck his marriage is just what royals do to win. They did far worse in the past. Even in the recent past Edward was ostracised for many years after Wallace came along, and well Diana was treated appallingly for being angry at being cheated on.

Good luck to Harry, and Meghan, they are free from this mess. I feel for Harry being estranged from his brother and Dad, but until they apologise that will always be the case, and Kings in waiting don't tend to back down. They have made themselves a plan, have an opportunity for a life more free than it could ever be in England, and anyone that wishes them ill for walking away needs to take a good look at themselves.
