McNair

Something I picked up on TV coverage was how much the rest of the lads were geeing him up. When he made that diving header to clear, a number of lads went and really made a big deal of him. There is a togetherness in that group. Love it. I hate seeing anyone struggle and it can be a lonely place when i you know every touch is scrutinised by fans just waiting for a mistake.

Dogshit atm.

Was the first name on the team sheet only a few years ago, can’t seem to do anything right unfortunately

Since Carrick took over Boro have averaged more than 2 points a game in the eleven games McNair has started. Title winning form.
Undoubtedly he's made mistakes as every player has, but there's no way a team could maintain that kind of form with a player who's not for the most part playing anything but well.

I actually thought this was one of his better recent games. Strangely enough, the thing that frustrates me most about him is how long he seems to take to make a pass, but he seemed to have a bit more zip today.

Just watched the highlights and although he was in some way responsible for their goal, he was sold a pup of a ball from lenihan who was also under pressure… and the goal went through Steffens legs so to say it was solely McNair fault is a bit unfair in my opinion…

yes, he should’ve just put it out but the scorer did blindside him…
