This was discussed at the weekend.

It would be interesting to know what bids Notts County have received in the last 6 months.
 
Massive risk, he's a goal machine at League 2 level but there's little else to his game. I'm not sure he'd get into double figures in the Championship, personally I think it would be too big of a step.

If Notts County fail to get promoted I see him going to Wrexham (who are very likely to get promoted again, possibly as champions)
 
Only really seen the headlines and stuff on here about him but just been on youtube to watch his showreel, definitely more than a touch of Bernie about him, in the right team, could see him scoring plenty in Championship
 
He's been linked with Coventry, Birmingham, Sunderland and Derby for around 1.5-2m so its a pricey gamble, but he's a goalscorer. In the right team i think he'll score a load, whether we play to his strengths is another thing.

Yes. Speaking in an interview with Teesside Live, Langstaff admitted that he grew up a fan of the Riverside outfit and was a regular at games in his youth.
He said: "I was a massive Middlesbrough fan growing up, going to games all the time. I eventually started playing for Marton FC which is obviously where Stewart Downing started."

Calm down old bean, it was a pointed comment aimed at Mr Gibson's previous misdemeanour. If it helps I'm from Billingham so probably a Newcastle fan.

PS I'm not offended by your conflation of Stockton and Billingham re Willie Maddren.
 
If he was coming with the knowledge that he wasn't first choice, I'd be happy to take the gamble.

Always nice to have Boro fans playing for Boro.

It did hurt a lot of Stockton based fans though it was a ludicrous thing to say.

Btw I know here the maddrens are from and Billingham is in Stockton as is Norton where I’m from.
 
I still see him as a lad I went to school with and I thought I was as good as him 😂😂. Hard for me to get excited but it’s great to see him doing so well. Someone will take a gamble, just not sure it will be us.
