Not on

Not on Virgin you couldn't but still feel qualified to slag others off the other night.😉😁

Sorry I couldn’t get to QPR midweek when I’ve been at work all day and got a baby at home. What a bad fan I am ey. Loved it today though, did you go or to busy stalking fmttm posters old posts?

Apart from his goal ( yeah sounds shxxe doesn't it) I didn't think he had one of his better games today.
Booking didn't even look like a foul to me, thought he won ball cleanly and no contact at all with Derby player.
Thats with my 62 year old eyes in East Stand like, maybe younger eyes with a different angle saw something I didn't.

I agree wasn’t one of his better game today actually, good to have a midfielder the who scores and knows where to be when the ball is out wide. He’s just been a great signing.

Thats the great thing about him he scores even when he is not playing well. In the Readimg game for example. He got two at the death but he could have easily have been subbed earlier on as he had a terrible game. But take him off at your peril. Plus he links up so well with Jones.

A few Derby fans were slagging him off yesterday on their board, one even described him as a "thug" but he's the kind of player opposition fans hate but would love to have in their team.

He plays on the edge and I did feel he got a bit lucky yesterday, but I wouldn't want that edge to be taken out of his game.

Whose scores the most goals in a similar position for us in the past , leadbitter ?
Odds on he’s our top scorer this season

Leadbitter took our penalties too.
Assuming he manages a few more before the end of the season, we've not had a midfielder score so many from open play since Juninho.

Obviously Juninho did so at a higher level though.

Wing managed 7 in 2019/20.

Crooks is on 7 with a third of the season left.

Ramirez managed 7 in his half season here, he was arguably our most prolific midfielder in decades in that season.

Leadbitter comparison re goals is not like for like.
Grant had that purple patch in 2013-14 Play Off season where he got 12 league goals, but 7 of those were penalties.

I'm not knocking Grant at all, just saying Crooks is a very different player, and is much more of a goalscorer for us.
A bit of a God if you will.

If you want perhaps a better comparison then Willie Falconer was a tall midfielder with an eye for goal who was a physical unit with surprising amount of skill.
