Thought we were the better team, just can't quite create that big chance. Didn't think Watford looked that good aside from at set pieces.
 
Lacking quality with final ball, not a surprise given our scoring record in last 2 seasons. Ball has dropped for Watford in their area, need a bit of luck.

Would like to see Coulson on, prefer him over Johnson in a wing back role.
 
I think they have been the better team but we are still very much in this game. Need to be more solid from dead balls though.
 
It’s a breath of fresh air compared to last season - it’s half of football I’ve enjoyed in a good while. Bit of luck and let’s see what happens in the second half. Certainly still in this!
 
We need Spence and Johnson to take their fullbacks on and get the ball over. Spence did it once and it caused havoc in their dodgy defence. Be brave.
 
I'd say we have played better, but they look more like scoring (which after all is the point of the game). They do look like a PL side in exile but there is something about them and the way they play that I don't like, I don't like the way they can move players from Italy to Spain to England I'm sure there should be a rule against it (I know there isn't, it just "feels" wrong).

The last few days he’s been linked with teams in Spain and Saudi Arabia, think he’s burnt his bridges here though. I’d honestly look at Ashley Williams, he’s 36 but still played 30+ times last year. Those 2 corners were shocking, we need someone to organise and give the team a rollicking. You can’t allow free headers from set pieces.
 
Need a bit more going forward from midfield.Spence is showing but Johnson has not been able to put in many crosses. Still 45 min to go if we put they same effort into the second half we will get something out of the game. Subs could be crucial
 
Don Goodman was spot on there. When they get the ball they look to break quick and get men forward. When we get the ball and break down a move by then we are slow and ponderous going forward - we need more energy, pace, ambition and positivity
