No we didn’t but it really brightened up a Wednesday night. Add in getting to see the boro on television as well as that was rarity back then as well. In fact thinking about it was there a match of the day programme when we were in div 1 in 88 as I don’t remember it if there was???

That was a totally different comp held in 2007 near the 02 Arena. Involved celebrities and fans playing too. We beat West Ham in the final. My mate played in one of the games.

Yes we played Southampton in our blue away strip, lost 3-1
