Massive week ahead

Keifer Moore is maybe available I'd heard. If the plan B is a Crooks sized player then he'd maybe be a good option. I think (although Carrick seems to disagree) that Forss could be the smaller/quicker/direct option to rotate in and out with Lath as required, with Jones / Silvera covering the right.

I do think a big part of our current issues is that the ball isn't sticking much anywhere currently, so we're constantly on the go and getting over run. Archer and Akpom held the ball and occupied the defence much better than the current options are.

Although Moore doesn’t fit what I'd perceive our style to be, Carrick seems to have been more than happy to use Crooks up top when he's had plenty of other options. I think Moore would be an enormous upgrade on Crooks/Coburn/Muniz in that role.

But whether he's actually available, affordable and would come for a (probable) rotation role seems pretty unlikely.
Moore is more of an aerial threat but when Crooks comes on I dont think we resort to lumping it up to him. I think we will target another mobile forward

Agree, and we barely carry one from anywhere on the pitch. I assume that the reason we don't go more direct is partly Carrick's principles and partly the fact we have nobody in the squad that can compete with 90% of Championship centre backs for strength, and definitely aerially. Hence all the short corners too, we're so powder puff as threat that it's been deemed to be not worth it.

The fact that, in the main we play the same build up style and through balls with Crooks up top as we do with a Lath or an Archer type seems ridiculous to me.

Other than Millwall we have created quite a few chances by playing the way we do. We miss the quality of Archer and Akpom to put the chances away. I think we will end up trying to take a punt on someone like Cannon and pi55 PNE off again.

I would rather have Oli Mcburnie

Coburn is only young but has scored goals no matter what level he has come up against. I can only imagine that Plymouth have said he is going to play most weeks and he will gain more than staying here. We would need a decent replacement for me to understand our thinking though.
Coburn is young, but only a little bit younger than Rogers, who seems to be first name on the teamsheet.

For who?

Nixon talks utter BS, so I'll take it with a pinch of salt.
