Maskless Tory MP gets Covid

I wonder how many locations he visited, maskless, in performing his duties while potentially infectious, and how many people he may have infected.
Not very convivial of him at all.

The reason for wearing a mask is not really to stop the wearer getting covid but to try and stem him transmitting it to other people. So if Alex Chalk had covid last time he was in the commons then the odds are he will have spread it to more MPs than if he was wearing a mask.

No.

No. Politicians who should be setting an example and helping to reduce the spread of a highly infectious and deadly disease will be called out for their irresponsible behaviour and their complicity in the politicisation of masks.
Not to mention the double standards of their leadership telling the rest of us plebs that we should be wearing masks in enclosed busy spaces, while they do the exact opposite in parliament in full view of the world.

If you have a problem with people being critical of said politicians or calling them out for their actions when they get covid, your anger is being directed to the wrong place.

Any reason any not? It's clearly antisocial.

Its fcuking dangerous, never mind anti social.

We have the irony of Sajid Javid stipulating that care workers must be sacked for not being vaccinated and being mindful to insist on the same for NHS workers and then we have his convivial mates breathing all over anybody and everybody, because they're cool.
Its just a pity that the staff of Houses of Parliament don't walk out on strike on H&S grounds.

More contagious Delta Plus upgraded to "variant under investigation"
Presumably the government will really ramp up the "convivial fraternal spirit" to face this new even more infectious COVID variant and do feck all for a few weeks until COP26 has finished.

I'm not angry.

Just baffled. I'm not a fan of Tory party members by and means but won't mock them for catching a disease. One does wonder if this thread would have been made if the person in question was a Labour party member?

Because as has been discussed many many many times before there are reasons people don't wear masks. (disclaimer I don't know if the MP in question has any reason not to).

There'll be 350+ Tory MPs not wearing a face covering during tomorrow's budget speech in Parliament.

They can't all have a valid reason.
