Marcus Tavernier

Has to be one of the worst decisions this club has made in years.

Sander berge
The two Watford forwards
Gyorkeres
Bereton Diaz

All wanted by prem ( foreign ) sides for big money and yet all stayed

This is exactly what I said, any other club who had a player that wanted to leave kept them.

We’re left trying to replace a £15million player at the last minute. If we’d have kept him, we’d have stood a better chance of promotion, if we got promoted he’d have stayed. It was a horrific decision.

Especially having let Payero go too

Tav is thriving in the premier league by the looks of it - we undersold him then failed to replace him. That is criminal and it’s going to cost us our season by the looks of it

He wanted to leave, no one else bid, so it would be difficult to say we undersold him.

Our midfield is pedestrian, turgid and uninspiring and we miss his energy but his absence doesn’t explain our current predicament.

Recruitment hasn’t been good. It is often said that clubs won’t bring in players who are no better than what they already have I’m not sure we haven’t done that this year just to get the numbers up.

He’s a big miss for us, but oway , you don’t just go from missing out on the playoffs to sitting in the relegation zone over just one player . There’s a deeper problem at the club

And look how we are paying for it on the pitch......he looked good yesterday in the PL, good luck to the lad, some player and had so many doubters on here, unreal.
Not only doubters Maccarone, some were very hostile towards Tav to the extent I thought they had another agenda.

You do when he’s the only one in mf yhat can run forward with the ball.

I posted last season that anyone that doesn’t rate tav doesn’t know football and we’ll only really know how good he was when he’s gone.

Erm
