I think a lot of the stick he was getting earlier in the season, some of which was justified, was down to the way we played.
Since Wilder came in we have become a lot more compact and organised and Tav in particular has benefitted from it. Under Warnock we were a lot more stretched and players isolated meaning that any mistake, misplaced pass or untracked run was more likely to leave us vulnerable. Add in the fact that Tav was trying to do a lot on his own and his game was being exposed a bit more than others.
We now have far more contact and cohesion in our play and players have options and cover around them if things don't come off.
There is no doubt that Tav has all the attributes to be a great midfielder and I think our new formation suits him far more than it ever has in his time here.
I'd still start games with Taylor and see how things are developing, but if we have the opportunity to switch to a midfield of Jones, Crooks, Howson, McGree and Tav then I think that would be our most attacking line up.
