Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs Announce Euro Super League Withdrawl

It's all absolute bull****... Don't believe a single sentence these PR machines push out. This wasn't a win for the fans, this was a little probe sent out.

They keep talking about wanting to make things better yet spunks billions of pounds on their greed.

This should be the wake up call, unfortunately it will be beers all round and jobs a good un lads.

These 6 clubs have trashed the integrity of the league and caused outrage. Fans forced to protest during covid times to save football from greed and selfishness.

All 6 should be demoted or at the very least docked of all their points and forced to fight it out to avoid relegation. A slap on the rise is no enough!

Demoted 2 divisions though cos we don’t want them spoiling our promotion push!😉

Arsenal's statement shows a key part of their arrogance. "Our fans all over the world". It's not about that. It's about the fans locally who for over a hundred years through generations have supported the club and contributed to making it the one it is today.

All these clubs have long thought of themselves as a brand and think they can go on tour like the Rolling Stones. Football has to reform and stop forgetting what's important. It's time the game was sorted. Regulate agents, limit players salaries, lower ticket prices and give fans a say in how their club is organised.

Brilliant oppertunity for Boro to step into the breach and join this Super League. £££££££££££££££

:p

it is dead, "Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli says the European Super League project cannot proceed following the withdrawal of the six Premier League clubs."

And R Madrid's Florentino Perez wanting to keep the group together to "press for further change".

They haven't gone away.

"Further change" as in "demand more money".
Perez is desperate for this to happen as he realises it's probably the only opportunity to address the financial mismanagement of the club and solve their debt issue.
Calling him a snake is very apt. He was only re-elected (unopposed) about a week back and never mentioned, as I recall, anything about Real Madrid joining an ESL.

As I said, they haven't gone away. Not taken them long to regroup with the same agenda.

We're proposing a new European competition - ESL

While the European Super League may not come to fruition, the organisation still feels that the Champions League should no longer be Europe's top club competition. This statement has been released on behalf of the ESL today: “The European Super League is convinced that the current status quo of European football needs to change.

“We are proposing a new European competition because the existing system does not work. Our proposal is aimed at allowing the sport to evolve while generating resources and stability for the full football pyramid, including helping to overcome the financial difficulties experienced by the entire football community as a result of the pandemic. It would also provide materially enhanced solidarity payments to all football stakeholders.

“Despite the announced departure of the English clubs, forced to take such decisions due to the pressure put on them, we are convinced our proposal is fully aligned with European law and regulations as was demonstrated today by a court decision to protect the Super League from third party actions.”

Page number will likely change in fairly short order.

The quickest withdrawal since Father Brendan was caught "helping" Mrs Dobson arrange the flowers on the altar at St. Patrick's. And almost as messy...

No it wasn’t they’d sign the deal it wasn’t a test at all they thought they’d done it.

the fact there’s an empty space in the Man U car is proof that it wasn’t a test

He's still in the car and was probably getting out anyway at the end of the season.

What have they signed exactly? Heads of agreement that has no legal standing?

We’ll see bear they’d signed a 23 year deal this will have consequences do you think jp Morgan won’t sue

Have they? The words in every report do not suggest any contract has been signed. The link you put up about 23 years had no source or detail.

You don't need to submit paperwork to leave something that doesn't exist.

Contracts were clearly signed.
