Man City charged with multiple breaches of FFP

Sadly football is just a mirror of society. The haves and have nots.

The billionaire backed clubs who will do ANYTHING to circumnavigate rules and bend them out of of shape to gain an advantage, rather than just play along. They have more money than most but it's never enough.

Meanwhile clubs go bust over a few hundred grand tax bill.......

Business and profits first, sport second. ☹️

Nice to hear that from you because you can be absolutely sure that Chelsea are breaking the rules and I will be flabbergasted if Forest and Everton have not been either.

Too many clubs have been playing lip service to FFP for too long and it needed stamping down on years ago. Thing is I do hope this opens up the pandora's box. The sad thing is that whilst this goes on PSG snd Real Madrid are laughing their socks off having spent their arses off.

its ran over a 3 year period, they may be breaking the rules but it takes time for them to be in breech of FFP by the rules

Yes, I think it related to their artificially inflated sponsorship figures?

I really hope they are punished, if they are proven to have broken the rules of course. I have nothing against City at all, but the integrity of the competition has to be preserved and a number of clubs enjoy an unfair advantage due to their financial 'support'.
 
Would be great if something happened to them but I wouldn't be shocked if nothing happened or they got a small fine. I quite like Man City but if they've been cheating they need the harshest punishments.

If guilty I would imagine it throws the post 2018 season into question as well? How many of those players that played a huge role in their recent success would they have been able to sign without cheating? De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Walker, Gundogan etc all signed during the years in question.

They knocked us out of the FA Cup in the quarter final in 2017. We should sue for lost semi final income.
 
Quick look on Twitter and opposing fans are quite funny. This is what we were up against cheaters.

They’ll all be at it, other teams time will come
 
Also heard sky saying they got it reduced at uefa cos some charges were time barredX where as there isn’t time barring at the premier league

They will simply be passing these allegations over to their "best money can buy" lawyers. Who in turn will feverishly look to how they can either justify the spend, or manage to wriggle out of it with minimal reputational damage. Pay a few million fine, get a one or two windows transfer embargo..... that'll teach them!

The PL has created an obscene financially driven monster which has become more powerful than the governing body. Not going to end well, but I've had my fingers crossed for 20 years.....and they are knacking .......

AND this is one of the reasons I'm happy plodding away in the Championship.....f*ck the PL.
 
I've quite enjoyed seeing Liverpool and man Utd 'fans' squirming over the last few years because another club has had the audacity to win things. Long may it continue for me (y)

Uefa recently changed the length that transfer payments can be spread over to stop Chelsea from manipulating how much counts towards FFP each season.

For me, I would like to see them wipe the floor with the lot and give us our game back but unfortunately, these clubs would break away and create their own super (greedy) league.
