Am I missing something here. Previous offence of carrying bladed article. Given 26 week suspended sentence. Now attacks a home with a machete and hockey stick and now gets 13 month suspended sentence. People in the house felt in danger even though it was mistaken identity.

Agreed, minimum 5 years sentence for me, the law is far too soft on knives, they’ll probably say that the prisons are too full mind.
Why can’t the just ban machetes, and these other horror knives. I mean what lawful reason can they have for buying or selling them in the first place?.
I understand some industries, Butchers etc, just licence the individuals, businesses etc. I know the horse has bolted, but you can try to close the stable door at least.
 
I feel very strongly about the law and how I believe it should be dealt with where knives are concerned after being on the jury of a murder trial a few years ago which involved knives, and an innocent victim killed just because of who he was with on that particular day.

Disgusting and heartbreaking to see/hear the fallout of the events that day.
 
Courts should sentence them to jail time then its up to the Government where they go. Its too much of an easy get out to say prisons are full so give them a suspended sentence. Heard there is a space going free in Wandsworth.
