Lumley liability. It’s been coming….

Mega mistake not getting a keeper in although lumley has so little to do it’s been hard bringing this to wilder’s attention. I’m sure the last two games have now though!
 
It didn't work out well for us last time we dropped Lumley following one of his clangers.

We could try the young keeper but it's going to be an intense atmosphere vs Derby, so he might struggle to cope with that.

It's not a contest though is it? They are both dire and Lumley is the current dire incumbent. Must be terrible to play in front of him worrying what might happen the whole time. Goalkeepers, right-backs - and let's face it, strikers - we're just not good at...
 
I still dont understand why we went out and signed Brad G from Villa. They got smashed every week and he was terrible for them.

Still to this day absolutely can not understand why we went and got him. Someone got a brown envelope or something. As for his pal Gestede. What dark days
 
He doesn't save anything your old auntie couldn't.
He doesn't claim anything in the air.
He simply gifts chances to the opposition.

Stop making excuses for this liability.

That was an outstanding outfield team performance tonight and we thoroughly deserved to win. We would have done had Lumley not been our keeper.

He's absolutely dire.

When I was rewatching the pens from the Man U game, his diving style is mental. He was diving upwards before he was diving across.
 
Ok some comments made me smile! When Lumley was playing under Warnock, his starting career with us, I hardly ever saw him pass the ball short to a defender, it was long ball and he has a massive kick (yes kick!). That used to cause opposition defences a lot of problems - that was Warnocks style. It was so noticeable as soon as Wilder came has asked our defence and Lumley to play in a different way. Short passes from the back, play the ball out. So we are learning to play this new style and it can result in some hairy moments! we have had a few close calls by the defenders and the keeper. I was pleased with a point tonight and Joe will learn. He is the one who needs to call the shots and make the decision to either boot it or pass it, he needs to adjust fast.
Anyway i am pleased with a point tonight. hoping for a win saturday.
