We're 12 points behind them, they have a better squad than us and more money than us.

I don't think many sane Boro fans expected to be finishing above the 3 relegated teams if they played to their potential.

They might have to pay a portion of them, it’s possible that his wages are within our wage structure since they are in our league. Relegation clauses are a thing

Nah he isn’t good enough and never was. Bottom half championship player who was able to perform under an extreme system with Bielsa. Similar to a lot of our players after Karanka left (Clayton, Friend, Leadbitter).

I think we've missed Tommy Smith as much as anyone. If Ayling is a similar player and character to Tommy he'd be a very good signing for the rest of the season.
