I think he is an improvement on Smith, but I know what you mean.

I've literally just checked this and came to post it. Shame but assuming we stick to the same formation, he probably wouldn't play anyway. You need that pace from Izzy as RWB to give us an outlet. He was literally the only outlet in that second half. There was nothing forward on the left as Hayden was effectively playing as a 3rd CM. Engel was pinned back. Our only out was that right channel.

Obviously he would have be an option of the bench and that experience could have been vital.

He SHOULD take away any headaches for the RB position for the rest of the season (injuries permitting!).

By that I mean he should just come in and be steady constant performer - you would hope. A real sensible loan deal for me this one.
