Dean Glover wore 2 for us ocassionally I think (I know it was usually Parky) and he played midfield. I’m sure Erimus will be able to confirm.
Yeah he did. He took Lawsys's shirt.

Works on the Kenny Dalglish, Kevin Keegan and Terry Cochrane principle (I assume Wilf Mannion was also number7 too?)Aye. I think as Viv says it somehow works. Maybe because it's so iconic for us now. In principle I shouldn't be happy about it though.
Back in the 80’s we used to use the 1-11 numbers a bit weirdly. Parky often wore 5 and in his early career Mogga wore 7.Dean Glover wore 2 for us ocassionally I think (I know it was usually Parky) and he played midfield. I’m sure Erimus will be able to confirm.
When Mannion started playing for us, we didnt have numbers on the back of the shirts, that only started for us after the war.Works on the Kenny Dalglish, Kevin Keegan and Terry Cochrane principle (I assume Wilf Mannion was also number7 too?)
I might be wrong but I don't think that means 1-98 are all taken.Brighton have a player wearing No99 on their subs’ bench tonight. We’re about to see what happens when someone needs to use the No100.
It doesn’t confirm it but some Premier League clubs do have around one hundred players on the books, across the levels. You see that when those sides play in the Football League trophy, they have benches stacked with players wearing numbers in the 80s and 90s. This is on top of your 25-man senior squad, your U23s and U18s. And players out on loan. I think even Boro get into the 50s and 60s when the FLT games start up.I might be wrong but I don't think that means 1-98 are all taken.
I still feel the above should be brought in - and as @uncle_rico says they do it in SpainI don't mind squad numbers, but don't think that teams should be allowed to have any gaps in the numbers at the start of the season.
Obviously players get sold/loaned, but I'd prefer it if there had to be a 'reset' every season - so that we have only got numbers going up to how many players are in the squad
Loved it when Dyche did that last season. A good bit of self-trolling for Burnley’s agricultural reputation.Revert back to No's 1 - 11 & stop all this nonsense
Wilder’s secret 4-4-2 plan?Loved it when Dyche did that last season. A good bit of self-trolling for Burnley’s agricultural reputation.
FFS. And of course he’s called Adolfo. Of course he is. Pure evil.Squad number 100 you say? I think this lad might just be your new favourite player Viv. Attacking midfielder, also wore the number 1 jersey for good measure too
