Losing jones has killed our season.

A stopped clock is right twice a day. If you are unceasingly negative, when the teams going through a bad patch you can feel all smug. Well done. "But as usual I'm proven right." Nauseating.

On a more general point, i think people underestimate how important Rogers was for us. Before the Sunderland match they brought up a stat on sky that showed in our previous 10 or something games Rogers had 8 goal contributions, the next nearest was Jones with 2.
I'm always right, its a curse.

Not buying a another striker in August killed our season from the start. We have had to reply on Lath who had to find is feet in English football after coming from abroad and Coburn who was pretty much untested at this level. Add to that both have been injured and its been a disaster really. Then not buying in January is just incompetent.

Well it’s scuppered our game plan our main supply route and derailed our attaching threat but yes apart from that… he’s done nothing.
It's definitely made a difference to our recent results but it won't affect the outcome of the season.

Selling Rogers killed the season, just like some of us said it would.

It wasn't just we lost him on the pitch, but it sent a message loud and clear that the club has no ambition this season. None whatsoever.

The fans have given up and it looks like the team have too.
A couple of the lads said yesterday: the sale of Rogers was financially sensible, but it sets a precedent.
Hope I'm wrong, but if we are a selling club, we're playing just to survive.
If we acquire decent players, in order to build a decent team, we need to keep them

Rumour doing the rounds now is that he took unauthorised days off after leaving AFCON with injury, and Carrick has refused to play him since.

I'm hoping that's not actually true as it's cutting of your nose to spite your face with how bad Glover has been recently.
It certainly is, he’s like another outfield player…..and we could do with a few more of them.

There has to be a reason Glover is being picked ahead of him. It's definitely not because he's better so either Dieng isn't fully fit or he's fallen out of favour for another reason.

You do have to wonder

Esp as other has alluded to the defence don’t look as settled and happy as they do with dieng.

Plenty of talk about selling Rogers. Yet we got a decent price.

Surprised not more annoyed about losing Crooks. A terrific goals per game recored for Boro. He had an amazing knack of being in the right place.

Sold for 1mil. You simply can't replace his goals or ability for that. I understand he wanted to move etc.

I'd say another massive miss for Boro.

There's a lot that were annoyed about it.

It makes sense for Crooks, and I wish him well, but it was a very poor decision for our season.

The happy clappers will defend anything though.

100% accurate. Went to Qatar with gf instead of returning to Boro for treatment on his injury.
