My guess from those comments are that we say offered a contract at around £20k to £25k week and Luton offered say £30k/week and Giles and his agent have used our offer to say get £30k/week out of Luton. Hence there were at least 6 days between fee agreed and transfer announced.

What I do see as a positive is that we must have offered a decent fee to Wolves. I had previously assumed £4m to £5m was out of our range.
