Look at the price of Man City’s home shirt next season

Bayern Munich are just as bad, looked in their club shop for a kids shirt for my nephew back in January, it was 90 odd euros for an 8 year olds top.

Like I said...every big club does it, I dont know why everyone is acting like you’re forced to buy this expensive shirt, the new Man City shirt costs 50 quid in JD Sports.

And when you think of the wealth of the Man City owners. They could give a shirt to every kid in the country and it wouldn't dent their worth. Just when you thought the sport couldn't get any lower...
This is my issue as well as shirt sales and marketing are normally done to help sustain the club but as you say the Arabs have more money that god so it’s just greed pure greed.

They could subsidise them and sell at a super low price and the stadium would be chock full of fans wearing them as they're so affordable. While they're at it they could slash ticket prices too.

But then again nothing is valued if it's cheap, and that is the main problem.

In days gone by, you'd be proud of your team no matter what. Money simply didn't come into it.

But now, pride comes from how much your shirt cost, and how much your football team is worth.

If people keep buying them then they will keep selling them and keep pushing up prices. They are no more greedy just because they have tick owners than any other team. All of these millionaires and billionaires didn't get that rich by being nice and giving stuff away. They do their research, figure out what will bring them the most revenue in and then charge that.

Why would anyone buy this? I don't understand why anyone would want a 'player edition' shirt. The fact they are more slimfit is an issue😉

Just buy the normal one. The fact that they even think there is a demand is slightly bizzare.

Beat me to it Mike, was just going to say the same thing! I have a mate who works for Chicago Fire MLS team and he gave me a shirt last year (they are red with a white band like the Boro...or at least they were until they rebranded this season) and it was a player-quality top ($120).....definite difference in the quality of the material!!
Personally,I think the NFL shirts are pretty bad. They don't really stand out and ,imv, the badges etc are pretty poor . I always get hoodies etc , more usable and better quality.again I'll say , why can't the Boro design decent clothes ( or the sub-. Contractor).
With limited crowd income they need to boost other income streams. Every little helps
