Look at the price of Man City’s home shirt next season

When Alex Sanchez earns £1m every two weeks for doing eff all does anything surprise you in football these days???

Should be mentioned that pretty much every big club in Europe produces a shirt like this priced the same, not just City.
A quick look at Chelsea shirt for next season on their official site suggests not the case. I havent looked at others. Man U not out yet.

There you go. Trust me all of the big clubs do it, most are sold through the manufacturers website rather than the club shop though.

' made from breathable poly fabric with dryCELL tech to wick away sweat.' - we used to call it polyester.

For £110 I'd be wanting the shirt to come with a free player wearing the bloody thing to take back to Boro and pad out the squad.

Hopefully we can pick up Patrick Roberts hiding inside an x-large DryCELL poly fabric classic.

And when you think of the wealth of the Man City owners. They could give a shirt to every kid in the country and it wouldn't dent their worth. Just when you thought the sport couldn't get any lower...

They still have to operate within FFP rules so the owners can only sub so much. They have to increase revenue to be able to spend. That's a downside to the ridiculous rules.

My first car - a battered Mark III Cortina only cost me 35 Quid!
It had similar qualities to those fabulous modern shirts above:

"Breathable" - always plenty of draft from the rotting rubber seals on the windows.

"Go - faster" - with a tailwind downhill you could get 60 mph out of it.

"Hi-teck fabric" - the plastic seats looked stylish where gaffa tape covered the holes.

"Comfort - fit" - there were some fat persons conveyed between pubs in that vehicle believe me!

"Balance" - I dont remember anyone spilling the contents of their pint glass or alcohol receptical inside whilst it was moving.

"Easy clean" - didnt bother. The muck fell off with the rust.(y)

A few of you have probably been fortunate enough to visit Barcelona’s ground? It’s part of the tourist trail. Ended up in the huge club shop. They had a bewildering array of tops around about the 150 euro mark.
Unbelievable!!

I think we found out recently that Man City certainly don't have to operate within FFP rules as was shown with their reinstatement to the CL.

Financial fair play was never about fairness...............it was about UEFA making millions in fines and convincing idiots they were doing it for the good of the game
