Obviously at least 4 new decent signings still needed before window closes and hopefully Akpom stays.
Otherwise a season of mediocrity with nothing to get excited about.
Everything needs a lift from the team right through to the fans if we are to complete again this season.
Come on Gibbo make the funds available for MC and his team.
 
Long season ahead my ****! We’ll have top spot sewn up by Valentine’s day and we’ll be able to spend the last couple of months showboating….

Having watched Leicester v Coventry.
It confirms just what we need to do.
Chuba will be a big help...but without archer and Ramsey we are ordinary dare I say.
Not feeling too optimistic today let's eee what August brings

We achieved more points per game under Carrick without Archer and Ramsey than with them last season.

Some fans massively overstate their importance/impact last season.

Cracking players who I'd have back in an instant, but the team were excellent under Carrick even before they signed. We certainly weren't "ordinary".

We strengthened in January because Carrick didn't think the squad was strong enough. He wasn't wrong then. We are back to having a weak squad. We have no striker, we have no left back and we have nobody that can step in when Howson or Akpom are out.

We might have those things sorted by the end of August but we might be 12 points behind which makes automatics out of reach, again.

We can't keep writing August off. Points in August are worth the same as points in May. We can go into August being a player or 2 short but not 5 or 6 short. It's just amateurish.
 
I think it’s a case of don’t panic Mr Mainwaring, players purposely positioned as to grow rather than decline imo. New recruits need time to integrate and plenty of time to bring in some quality loaners.

We all know it won’t happen and we’ll be left to pick up the pieces in January
 
It was a bad performance from most of the team yesterday. Only really Dieng and potentially Lenihan played well.

Boro will not play like that 45 times again. Once the form returns we’ll start winning games again. We just can’t allow that to be October!
 
Better to have low expectations and be pleasantly surprised. We were spoilt last season scoring four every week

I don't expect us to be free scoring and scoring 4 every week but since our last win, 7 games ago, we have had 9 shots on target and scored 2 goals. That's worrying. We aren't even creating chances and that's not just a yesterday problem.
 
Watching the games today the quality and standards at the top of this league really has increased and feel we have gone backwards on yesterday's showing. Fear a poor midtable season

Nano you're being far too sensible here.

Put the blinkers on, say it's one bad game, say we're going to sign some great players, loan some great players. State that Carrick is the best manager in the league and hasn't made a single mistake.

You must signal your virtue for the gang.
