London Protest

A women's vigual or these clowns. Covid wise it makes no difference. Just absolute idiots either way.

What are people going to march about next week? Probably mags and Bruce😂

I've seen my 80 year old parents twice in 11 months. Yet folk are 'fine' to protest or have a vigual. I imagine if I drove up north and someome grassed me up I'd be fined? Yet if I take 2000 people with me I'd be OK.

No, because I believe in abiding with the law. Whether you or I agree with it is irrelevant.

Why? Is the particular law irelevant when it comes to compliance?

It's an interesting and usual response Rico, and I am not dismissing it, but I do find it fascinating to find out at which point you would ignore a law for the greater good.

That's ok then. 😉

Patel would love you though. Been against protest and that 😏
Not against protesting, but time and a place.
Realistically will a gathering of a few thousand among a population of 60 million get us out of this any quicker or just make things worse?

The two things aren't equivelant S7, I feel your pain, I haven't seen 2 of my daughters for a year. I do underrstand, but some would considerr this more important than covid.

Whilst I disagree with the cause, vehemently, they have the right to voice their opinion, and they have that right to do it collectively.

Don’t be offended but I can’t be ärsed arguing with you on here tonight, I’ve got better things to do.

I disagree with people gathering to protest at the minute, regardless of the cause.

Have a good evening.

'more important than covid?'... People are still dying. Just look around Europe as they have seen massive spikes.

You can say that you don't agree with it without meeting in the thousands. Just do it on social media. These folk in London for the past 2 weekends will still ask for NHS help should they need it through covid. It's a shame you can't tag them and refuse if they have attended Mass events.

Sure thing Rico, have a good one.

If there were no end in sight to lockdown I could understand this more. However, we are on a schedule to lift restriction in the next few weeks. To be sure, the government needs to be held to that, but the timing of the protest is odd.

The "fake virus" element of the protest I see as nothing more than vanity and self indulgence. They remind me of Rik Mayall's People's Poet: convinced of their own importance and threat, but the government couldn't really care less about them. They're fond of claiming we're living in an Orwellian dystopia, but would do well to remember Orwell said Proles and animals are free. In short, they are not worth controlling, and any current restrictions are exactly what they seem to be on the surface: for health reasons.
