Liverpool v Man Utd

Must say, I prefer Klopp's 'heavy metal football'

A disgrace from Man Utd though. They look like they're in protest mode just ambling along, not caring a jot. The salaries they all pick up and to think they can turn up like that ... unbelievable.

I don't care how good Liverpool are, I'd get crucified for the kind of attitude these Utd players are displaying atm if I earned anything like that kind of lour. :ROFLMAO:

I hate arrogance, always have, and the Man Utd of the Ferguson era were SO smug and arrogant, even the damn stewards and catering staff. The fans were just unbearable.

So, it’s a complete delight to see them tonight - so hapless, spineless, hopeless and inept - wandering around like aliens who’ve just landed and left their Earth handbooks back on the spaceship.

They are SO screwed - it’s going to take YEARS to turn this around. City and Liverpool are just accelerating away with every week that passes.

Schadenfreude doesn’t even come close!

Teesside is full of plastic glory hunting Liverpool fans sadly.

Most couldn’t pick out Anfield on a map.

The hammering has happened.

Wouldn't be shocked if Brighton made it 3 wins in a row against top 6 sides tomorrow.

United were a disgrace first half they wandered around at a pace that looked like they preparing for a move into walking football. Mind that Keita is a right dirty get nasty stamp just after he came on.

Some player Thiago isn't he? Effortless but dominant performance.
He’s a seriously good player and was dominant at Bayern in big games as well.

Was very surprised (1) they got him so cheaply and without much fanfare (cheaper than Chris Wood), and (2) it took him so long to settle, much to the detriment of my fantasy team. I thought he’d have the instant impact that Bruno Fernandes did.

Still, he’s showing now why City and Liverpool’s recruitment has them as the best two teams in the land by a mile, and why United are such a shambles.

Think for a second what United are paying in wages and transfer fees for Pogba and Sancho, who can’t get on the pitch and when they do don’t really want to be there; and compare with Luis Diaz, Thiago and Jota.

Football can be very unpredictable at times, but last night, it was so obvious what was going to happen from the first whistle.

The lineup Rangnick put out was genuinely embarrassing. There's been teams in the league that have set up defensively at Anfield (for obvious reasons) and executed the plan very well...and still lost (no shame), but last night, Rangnick thought by just throwing in 5 defenders and 4 midfielders, without any organisation set, would help them stifle Liverpool.

Man Utd have quickly turned into a joke of a club and whoever takes over in the summer (looking very likely to be ETH), they have a monumental job on their hands.

Not even this summer will be enough to overhaul that squad. It looks like they need about 2 years worth of transfer activity to correct all the mistakes previous managers/staff have done.

The sheer fact that Maguire is their captain says pretty much everything that is wrong with that club. I don't think he'd get in a squad of any other top 5/6 clubs, let alone start and be their captain/leader!

Long may this continue, because their demise is brilliant to witness.

I would still say getting £15m for Gibson off Burnley was the best bit of business we have done so far. He played just 1 Premier League game for the clarets in 2 seasons (a 5-1 defeat) plus 2 European games in which he scored an own goal and was red carded. In his 2 league cup appearances in the 2 years he was there he was part of the defence in their defeats to Accrington Stanley and Sunderland. Value for money.
