Liverpool cranking up the pressure on Everton and Pickford

Incidents happen in football, clumsy bad tackle, playing hell it wont shorten his recovery time. The Referee booked him instead of sending him off, do we do retrospective decisions with every players injury?
Was there malice or intent to hurt him ?

It was a poor tackle, the happen every week. Always the scousers who take being a victim to the next level in the modern era
They know hes a massive cog for them, but it happens to all teams/clubs at some stage.
Pickford will have to be careful around Merseyside by the looks of things.

To be fair Everton probably want him to be retrospectively banned. He’s not having a great year as a player

Going by social media, Pickford went from the most hated player at Everton by their fans, to their biggest legend after that tackle.

Only way I think he could have got Everton fans back on side to be fair!

He wasn't booked, the ref took no action whatsoever, neither did VAR. I'm no fan of Liverpool and watched the game desperately hoping for an Everton win but I agree with pretty much every pundit and ex ref who have expressed an opinion on it, it was one of the worst and most reckless "tackles" I've ever seen and was a very obvious red card.
I don't think Liverpools annoyance is principally with Pickford but with the utterly ridiculous inconsistency and insanity inducing incompetencey of VAR. Something which was highlighted by a last minute derby winner being disallowed due to a player alledgedly being literally a millimetre offside.

‘One the most worst and reckless tackles I’ve see’

talk about hyperbole. It was stupid and late.

wasn’t in the league of some of the other tackles across the years. There wasn’t intent

carragher nailed it

Agreed - it was pretty horrible.
The response by Liverpool is predictable. They can do no wrong

I have absolutely no sympathy for VAR decisions going against any of the top teams. These are the teams that have pushed for VAR and had it put on the rest of us (well those in the Prem).

That and the fact that the biggest victim and defensive rock, Van Dijk, had his ACL ruptured and is missing for a long time. That will cost Liverpool, money, points and whatever we all think of Liverpool, it is still an injustice that Pickford went unpunished.

What sort of "justice" do Liverpool want now ? A red card at the time or in retrospect, although the right thing, won't un injure their player.
